WHAT? If you
are NEW to Scouting, or if you have recently changed to a NEW POSITION, then
this training is for you. In June 2015,
Cub Scout Leader training was updated. Scoutmaster/Assistant
Scoutmaster Specifics was updated earlier in 2015. Learn about the NEW ideas
and concepts regarding YOUR leadership position, learn about health and safety,
age appropriate activities, sufficient adult over-site, the importance of Youth
Protection Training for ALL adults, and
get ideas to make your unit’s ADVENTURES
WHO: All registered leaders are encouraged to attend this training.
If you work directly with youth, you NEED training. Boy Scouts who will be Den Chiefs in the
coming year should attend training.
- Baloo (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation)
- Cub Scout Leader
Training - for all Cub Scout Leader Positions
- Scoutmaster/Asst. Scoutmaster Leader Specifics
- Venturing Advisor Specifics
- Leave No Trace
- Den Chief Training (for Boy Scouts)
LOCATION: St Johns River Base at Echockotee, 2513 Doctors Lake Dr.,
Orange Park, FL 32073 Check-In at Rotary Lodge. Training will be held at
locations throughout River Base.
TIME: 7:30am –
COST: $10.00 per
person for Baloo, only. No fee for any other training course.
SIGN UP DEADLINE:
Wednesday, August 7th.
WHAT TO BRING: Camp Chair, Coffee Cup or mug, water bottle, pen/pencil and
a notebook or pad for taking notes. Be Prepared for the Weather.
