District Recognition Banquet

2019 Recognition Banquet is Thursday November 14th.

Theme: "Scouting... Only 1 Hour a Week"

Orange Park United Methodist Church (OPUMC) Family Life Center

Tickets are normally $5.00 each.  However, the ticket cost is being covered by an anonymous sponsor this year for anyone who RSVPs on the Council website (registration button below) on or before November 7th!  Anyone RSVPing after November 7th or walking up will have to pay their own way.

  • Gathering starts at 6:30 PM
  • Dinner at 7:00 PM
  • Event will end at 8:30 PM

Main Entrée, desserts, and drinks provided by an anonymous sponsor.  Potluck side dishes provided by the attendees. 


**Spark Plug Awards and 2 District Awards of Merit will be presented during the evening**

Prizes will be provided for the Centerpiece Competition.  Free door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening.

Nomination for the District Award of Merit

The District Award of Merit is open to all registered Scouters who have rendered outstanding service to Black Creek District and have not previously received the award.

Nominations should be submitted on the attached nomination form by the deadline of October 15, 2019 and emailed to crose8@aol.com or mailed to:

Nomination for the Spark Plug Award

Spark Plug Award nominations can be made:

  • by completing this Google Form 
  • or by printing, filling out, scanning, and emailing this PDF form to Lisa Barber 
  • or by completing a hard copy at the October Roundtable
