THANK YOU everyone that participated in this weekend's event. Over 6,500 instruction hours where received by our boys thanks to all of YOU.

 

The MBF committee wants to extend a special thank you leaders - all of you where so easy to work with, even if we sometimes did not have the best class locations and the campsites where crowed.

 

If you had a boy in the new scout Baden Powel program: Every boy got a paper with what he worked on this weekend. Nothing was signed in their books. It is up to you as troop leaders to check their new skills and sign off the books. Everyone in the BP program also got to participate in one Merit Badge (Disability Awareness). They all have the Blue Card for this, signed by the DA counselor. The boy's Scout Master just needs to sign the card and it's good.

 

Not completed classes:

In many classes it's impossible to sign off all requirements for a badge. The boy has the contact info to their MBF instructor on the blue card - but also on the website under MB Class 2010. That counselor OR another, for that badge registered, counselor can sign off the remaining requirements when they are completed.

 

Cost Reimbursement:

Councilors - if you still have receipts for cost of class material, please scan and email to Robert Midgett today or tomorrow!  (Or call him to get a fax number or address).

  • All registration will be done on-line. Link at the bottom of this page.

  • Please check the website for constant updates about offered classes and their pre-requisites. Some classes can only be taken if pre-requirements are met.

  • DO NOT sign up boys for classes unless they intend to be done with pre-requirements.

  • DON’T sign up boys for classes they are not ready for!  

  • Cost for the Merit Badge Fair for Scouts $10.00. Price includes a patch. NO FEE FOR ADULTS!

  • Once you have registered your unit, print the Payment form and mail a check.

  • Payments are due March 5, 2010.  Failure to make payment on time will result in cancellation of your Troop’s registrations.

  • Each scout should bring a print out of the requirements and worksheet for his merit badge to class. They can be found here: http://www.meritbadge.com/worksheets/ , or he can bring the MB book. Please note: the merit badge counselors will NOT have extra copies! "A Scout is PREPARED!"

  • ALL Troops must sign in at the Camp Masters HQ FRIDAY NIGHT 4-9 pm - even if your unit is not camping - turn in your Troop Roster and all Health Forms. All of these will be returned along with patches at check out. All units MUST turn in Health Form even if you are not camping!

    NO TROOP CHECK-IN SATURDAY!

  • Each troop is expected to contribute with Merit Badge counselors and/or assistants. We need assistants to many of our classes. Please show up early before a new session starts to find out where you are most needed (bring a chair).

  • T-shirts are NOT part of the fee.
    To order T-shirts, please fill out the T-shirt order form and mail it in with a check no later than March 1, 2010. T-shirts will be passed out at check-in so the Scouts can wear their shirts during the event.

  • New this year: Special MB Counselor shirts $18.

Important Instructions to read before you start:

 

  • Registration is to be done by one adult per troop.

 

  • First, register the troop and pick a password that will be used when you need to go back and make additions or changes. You must enter a valid email for the Scoutmaster - or someone in his/her place.

 

  • Then enter adult leaders. Make sure to enter all adults that will attend. It's very, very important that we have an adult head count and contact information. Fill out information and click ADD. Do not fill out T-shirt size.

 

  • Then add the scouts: Click on ADD SCOUT. Add information and click on ADD.

 

  • Now click on the boys name (It's blue and underlined) to pick his classes.

 

  • The registration program is not as perfect as we hoped it to be, so if you have any questions or problems, email webmaster1@blackcreekbsa.org or call Catrine Fredrikson at 269-8630.

New Scout Program.


This program is designed to introduce the new Scouts to the fundamentals of Scouting.


Program will run all day Saturday and conclude noon on Sunday. When registering for this class - register both Saturday AND Sunday.
