ROUNDTABLE NOTES

Eric Clarke presented the Chick-fil-A cow to the group. Chick-fil-A
was kind enough to sponsor our round table.
Pinewood
Derby
– Lisa Zenner discussed the Pinewood Derby and the fact that council has
new rules. These rules have been posted to the website and will be used
at the district race for consistency
Webelos Crossover
– Lisa Zenner discussed the Crossover. Will be held
Feb 15-17, 2008 at
Camp
Echokotee. Discussion was held in regards to this being the only
location to receive the New Scout program this year. It will not be
offered at the Merit Badge Fair.
Merit Badge Fair
– Suzy Cochran discussed the Merit Badge Fair. It will be held March 14th
– 16th at Camp Echokotee. Cost is $5 and the registration is
done online. Still in need of Merit Badge Counselors.
Day
Camp
– Calvin discussed Day Camp presentations. All packs need to make
arrangements to have their presentation done in the next couple months.
Day Camp this year is 5 days long (June 9th – June 13th)
Eagle Dinner
–
Dick Keyworth spoke about the Eagle Dinner on Feb 2nd at
6pm. It will be held at the
Family
Life Center at Orange Park United Methodist Church. The form is online
for those interested in attending.
University of
Scouting
- January 26th at
Lakeside Jr High. This is a great training opportunity in our
own neighborhood.
Olustee
– Memo was handed out discussing the no camping policy for Olustee this
year.
Scott Wenzel spoke about the need for recharter packets to be picked up. We meet our
goals for Quality district but we are waiting to get the official word
from Council. Announced that Troy Nagle was nominated and accepted the
position of District Commissioner
