
This weekend event will offer Introduction to Outdoor
Leadership Skills Training The Old Fashioned Way. This training is designed to hone
the outdoor camping skills of all scout leaders. The training program is
designed in the same format as a “Mini Woodbadge” by focusing on troop
structure, event planning, camping, scouting skills and outdoor cooking. You
are guaranteed to have fun. The training staff is made up of the most senior
scouters in Black Creek District.
Who:
All interested Cub & Boy Scout and Venturing
adult leaders.
What:
Training in the outdoor aspects of Boy Scout
Troop operations for all interested Cub Scout & Boy Scout and Venturing
Leaders. This course is the completion of the series which is required for
Scoutmasters to be considered completely trained. This course is supposed to
be completed prior to attendance at Woodbadge Training.
When:
May 2-4, 2008
with a mandatory pre-meeting Thursday
April 17 at 7 pm, meeting at Good Samaritan Church.
Where:
Spenser Farm, Middleburg
Cost: $5.00 - Includes all course materials,
Saturday lunch
and cracker barrel on Friday.
The fee has to be paid on the night of April 17th .
Attendees will be formed into Patrols and
will be responsible to planning there menus and buying their food as a
patrol prior to arrival. Further instructions
will be provided by the assigned Troop
Guide prior to the training.
Medical Form: Completed Medical
Certificate in accordance to BSA policy to be turned in on April 17.
