Black Creek Scouters, Please welcome our new District Director, Ward Bramlett, who is taking over where Scott Wenzel left off on our team to keep Black Creek District at the top of the North Florida Council   He will be very active in this fall’s roundup plans and will be out and about at all our district activities.

B. Ward Bramlett

Black Creek District Director


Ward Bramlett, recently promoted to Black Creek District Director, previously served as Finance Director for the North Florida Council, BSA, where he was staff advisor to the Council Finance Committee, maintained fundraising activity records, worked with local United Way entities and provided leadership to various Council Special Events.


Ward is a Florida native who grew up in Ponte Vedra Beach, on the First Coast, and was a youth member of both Pack & Troop 277.


A graduate of The Bolles School, in Jacksonville, Ward attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. After receiving his degree, Ward went on to graduate school at The University of Texas at San Antonio.


During graduate school, Ward worked in Belize, Central America, teaching archaeology. He then moved to Houston, Texas, where he became an Assistant Vice President for Bank One. Just prior to joining the Boy Scouts of America, he served as a registered representative with Merrill Lynch, assisting others with retirement planning.


Ward lives in Jacksonville and enjoys just about any outdoor activity, including shooting, water skiing, golf and time at the beach. Of course his favorite hobby is fishing.
