Black Creek
District will conduct 5 Cub Scout Summer Camps: Day Camp,
Twilight Camp and 3- 3 day neighbor camps.
Day Camp and
Twilight Camp’s will not change. Day Camp will be June 8th
to 12th, and Twilight Camp will be July 13th
to 17th. Both will be held at Camp Echockotee.
Day Camp is 8am to 5:15pm with a Webelos Overnight and Camp fire
on Thursday and the Camp Campfire Friday night. Twilight
camp is in the Evening from 6pm to 9:30pm. None of the
camps have an overnight program except for the Webelos
Overnight. 3 additional Neighborhood Camps will be in
July.
The
neighborhood camps will be 3 days either Wednesday Thursday and
Friday or Thursday Friday and Saturday. The camps will support
20 to 50 scouts and cost no more than $35. Each neighborhood
camp will have its own theme and activities. Each camp will be
supported by the Packs and Troops in that area. The Packs and
Troops will provide the volunteer staff with assistance from the
Cub Scout Summer Program Committee. The Summer Program
Committee will provide the Camp and Program Directors whom have
completed National Camp School and have a current Directors
Card’s. The Director’s will work with a representative from the
local Packs, known as the Camp Coordinator, to coordinate the
camp and assume administrative support for the camp.
The areas of
Black Creek the committee has targeted are: Fleming Island,
Oakleaf Plantation and South Orange Park. Below are the dates
of all the camps.
