Black Creek District Cuboree Participants Guide

 


The 2007 Black Creek District “PIRATES OF BLACK CREEK” Cub-O-Ree will be here sooner then you think.  Come camp out for the weekend or for the day’s Activities on Saturday and Sunday.  Everyone is invited.  There will be 10 activities for everyone in the family to enjoy.  Some of the activities are: Shooting Sports (BB, Archery), Crafts, Aquatics (Swimming), Sports, Camp Fire and more.  Sign up early through your Pack, space is limited.  Every registered participant will receive a 2007 Cub-O-Ree patch.

Camp Echockotee, 2513 Doctor’s Lake Drive, Orange Park

September 28th through 30th, 2007

 

Registration Fees:
One Scout and One Adult                     $15.00
Scout Family (Up to 4 participants)        $28.00
Additional Participant                           $10.00 each
T-Shirt (Youth/Adult Size up to XL)        $10.00 each
            2XL or larger                          $12.00 each
2007 Cub-O-Ree Mug                           $3.00 each


Your registration fee covers the cost of Lunch and Dinner on Saturday, Program supplies , and Cub-O-Ree 2007 patch

Cub-O-Ree… What is it?

Cub-O-Ree is open to the entire Pack as a Camp Out.  It is not just a new scout camp out.  Activities will be for all Scouts.  Cub-O-Ree will be held at Camp Echockotee on Dr's Lake Drive.  Cub-O-Ree should be your Pack's September Camp out.  Cub-O-Ree is a 3 day event.  The program will allow the participants to experience of a variety of scout activities.

 

Do we have to camp?

NO, Camping is not required to participate.  Camping overnight 1 or both nights is not required but encouraged since camping is a part of scouting.  Whether you participate for all three days or just one, you still must register and pay the applicable registration fee.

 

What do I need to bring?

Your pack should be able to help you determine what to bring. But here is a short list to get you started: tent, sleeping bag, camp chairs, snacks, drinks, lanterns, flashlights, breakfast for Saturday and Sunday. 

 

How do I sign up?

Turn in completed registration form and registration fee to your unit before September 17th.

 

Who can participate?

Scout, Mom, Dad, sister, brother, Grandmother, Grandfather, Aunt, Uncle or family guest can participate.  Space is limited.  If Mom or Dad can't make it a responsible adult can participate with the scout.

 

What can Troops do?

Troops are requested to participate to assist with the activities and/or sponsor an activity.

 

Who has to pay?

A registration fee is required for any person, Mom, Dad, sister, brother, grandmother, Grandfather, Aunt, Uncle or family guest that will be at Camp Echockotee Friday, Saturday or Sunday and will be participating in any activity.

 

What is the Fee? What does the fee cover?

Fees are based on Scout and Adult, Family and additional persons.

Current Fees:          1 Scout, 1 Adult                                            $15.00

                             Family of 4                                                   $28.00

                             (1 Scout, 1 Adult, 2 additional person)

                             Additional participants                                    $10.00

                             T-shirts (Order Placed by Sept 17th.                $10.00

                                                                                2XL/3XL   $12.00

                             Mugs (Order Placed by Sept 17th.)                  $3.00

 

The Registration fees cover the cost of program supplies and 2 meals, Saturday Lunch and Dinner.  Every registered person will receive a 2007 Cub-O-Ree Patch.  T-shirts and mugs are not included in the base price.  T-shirts and mugs can be purchased for an additional fee.  T-shirts and mugs must be ordered through your Unit prior to Cub-O-Ree.  They will be distributed at Cub-O-Ree.

 

What is the Agenda?

The Event starts at 5 pm Friday September 28, 2007 and ends Sunday September 30, 2007 at Noon

 

What is the Swim test?

Every person that will be swimming in the pool must take a BSA swim test, unless they hold a current BSA Lifeguard card.  Scouts/Siblings with Parent/Guardian will only be allowed to swim in the non swimming section of Pool unless they take the swim test.  Scouts/Siblings/Parents may complete BSA swim test Friday Night.
