DIRECTIONS TO CAMP SHANDS:
Coming from Jacksonville:
Take Florida Road 21 (Blanding Blvd.) South out of Jacksonville. Stay on
SR 21 through Keystone Heights and Melrose. Exactly three miles south of
Melrose turn East (Left) onto Baden-Powell Rd. Go East Three Miles to
Large stone pillars on the right-hand side of the road - they mark the
entrance to camp. The Camp Ranger is Jerry Welty - telephone is

Coming from Gainesville:
From Gainesville the best way is via. University Blvd (SR 26) exit off
of I-75. University Blvd. will take you through Gainesville. Cross over
SR 301 and continue on SR 26 into Melrose. At the first and only
stoplight turn right on to CR 21. Approximately 3 miles from Melrose
turn left onto Baden-Powell Road. Camp Shands is located 2.8 miles on
the right and is marked by two large stone pillars.
