Scoutmasters: Print and bring this patrol registration form to check in on Friday night. One form per patrol please. Make sure you have the correct rank for each boy!

Adult leader help needed for our competition. 2-4 people per station during one morning and one afternoon session.

 

Please pick a area where you have good knowledge of.

Email us where you want to help out! Each participating troop is expected to help out with at least one station.

October 13-15, 2006
 NEW Location:
Spencer's Farm,  Middleburg

 

The 2006 Camporee will feature a competition where basic scouting activities and knowledge is tested.

 

Time: October 13 - October 15

 

First 500 scouts/scouter registered will receive a camp patch. (when paid in full)

Registration deadline is October 6, 2006.

 

Cost: $5 scout/scouter

 

Directions: Spencer's Farm is south of Middleburg.  Take Blanding Blvd into Middleburg and turn west on CR218 (Winn Dixie Plaza) follow that out several miles to Carter Spencer Rd. Turn left (south) and follow Carter Spencer Rd about 2.5 miles and the entrance to Spencer's Farm is on the left.

 

Each patrol should bring a small backpack with a hand ax, sturdy pocket knifes, a compass and Troop First Aid Kit -see Boy Scout handbook (will be used in competition!)

 

Each boy should bring their Totin' Chip and Fire’n Chit cards, a water bottle and comfortable shoes.

 

All troops are encouraged to practice their scouting skills before the Camporee. To keep the competition fair each patrol will be given a handicap score depending on the rank of each participating patrol member.

 

Each troop needs to bring water for drinking and cleaning!

Friday October 13, 2006                     

* Check-In                                           4:00-8:00 pm

* Cracker Barrel - Scout Master / SPL     9:00-10:00 pm

* Troops meet individually to go over    10:00-11:00 pm

  the schedule.  

* Lights Out                                         11:00 pm

 

Saturday October 14, 2006     

* Raising the flag, Announcements,        7:45-8:15 am

   Turn in Patrol Flags   

* First Patrol leaves on trail                   8:30 am

* When not competing, patrols need to be in camp

working on their camp gadgets, gateways, and overall camp appearance.

* Last Patrol should be finishing            6:00 pm

* Meet at Flag, retire the colors            6:00 pm

* Camp Site & Gateway Judging           4:00 pm

* Dinner & Clean-up                            6:30-8:30 pm

* Bonfire, Skits, and Awards                9:00-10:45 pm

* Lights Out                                       11:00 pm
